April 22

So today ws the last day of clinic. I can't believ it came so fast. I still had several PEs to pass off and was able to complete all of them except N2O. I am going to have to come in tomorrow and hopefully a first year's pt will want it. I also have to place NaF varnish. Good thing I had clinic on Tuesday and not Thursday. That gives me a chance to make it up.

April 15

I ws able to find my board pt yesterday. What A relief. I was able to schedule them to come in today and get a quad cleaned. I am excited that I was able to get most of the calculus off. I think she will be an excellant pt for boards.

January 15

Today I saw a pt that had really dark sub gingival calculus. It was fun to see the calculus just flake off. It was a great experience too feeling the difference between decay and calculus. Kami says if you bump out with your explorer, it's calculus. If your explorer goes in, it is caries. The hard part is telling the difference some times.

April 8

Mock boards went well today, but they would have gone better had my pt qualified. I was able to clean my pts whole mouth at least.

April 1, 2008

We are already in April. I can not believe it has gone so fast. Today I was trying to hold a screening for board pts but could only find one person to come. Too bad they were only 15, because they would have qualified. I guess age is a good thing to ask when setting up a screening.

March18, 2008

TOday was my production day. I can't believe that eventually I will have to see one pt every hour. I had just under two hours per pt and I really had a tough time. I am glad Gina and Kimber were so helpful. I was able to see a 1b, 2quads of a 2 and a class 5 pt.

March 4

I can't believe this semester is half way over. I just started at the VA so hopefully I can work towards completing my requirements.

Feb 26

Mock Anesthetic Boards went well today. If I do as well as I did today I will pass for sure. I guess I will need to make sure I review everything the day before and again right before I go in.
