This morning I was only able to get finished with the OD on my pt because he had quite a few health concerns. One thing I thought was interesting was he had just got dental work done in mexico and he was complaining that he did not have any sensation in his maxillary antirior teeth when he ate. He did have a few small restorations done in the central incisors. I thought that was wierd though and I was wondering if any one might have an idea of why this might be. could it be nerve damage from anesthetic?

TOday I was able to finish a class three pt and start on a new one in the afternoon. I am feeling more confident in getting the teeth clean. I need to work on doing it faster though. I guess it is hard to tell on a class three pt if you are going fast or not.

I wa able to finish a class two pt this morning. I an strting to get faster and feel better about instrumenting. Alexander showed me how to get better access to the mandibular antirior teeth. I was trying to clean them from 8:00 position. She moved me to the twelve oclock position snd had me point the tip towards the apex of the tooth and use very small strokes.

My Pt no showed again. Luckily someone in the waiting room was willing to fill in. I didn't have time to do much so I will bring her back. In the afternoon I was able to use my right and lefts on a class three pt. It was pretty exciting to see the way they work.

It is hard to find a patient last minute. I only saw one patient today because my morning appt. no showed and the afternoon appt cancelled at 11:00. I called them and connfermed them yesterday. I just don't understand. I rescheduled them both. I hope they show up for their next appointments. It worries me.

The most streesful day is hopefully all out f the way now. I don't know why I had so much anxiety to start seeing patients again. Today went fairly well and I think I already found a mock board patient.
