April 23

Today was a nightmare in clinc! My pt showed up an hour late for starters. He was supposed to be one of my quads for a class three but was not classified that way at OD check, so i am now officially freaking out! Hopefully I can hang in to the end of the semester. I have a pt on Wednesday. My goal is to keep focused and just do what it takes to finish. I really don't know if I want to at this point. I just have to remind my self this wont last forever and it will all be worth it.

April 18

Yeah! I finaly got my class 2 exam pt. in to clean. I spent too much time on him, but I got him done. I still need my class three pts to come and I did not have time to bring him back. I need to review different skills because I do not feel like I am efficiant. It takes me a long time and I still mis spots. I know I should be farther along than I am right now. I need to practice over the summer or something or I will die next semester.

April 16

Today My class two pt cancelled again. I was able to get asomone to feel inbut they were a class 5. I don't know what I am going to do. I am running out of time. I am pretty much freaking out right about now. hopefully everything will come together. I feel like I am focusing so hard on meeting the requirements, I am no t focussing enough on learninig. I need to remember my goal is not to get them in and out as fast as possible, I need to learn the proper skills.

April 11

Today was a very productive day. I was able to get some good instruction on the Ultra sonic scaler. My pt had so much stain to clean off I could actually tell what was working and what was not. Thank you Candice and Aimee for all your help.

April 9

My little brother came in today! It was good to have family come up. I was able to pass some things off like the removable appliance. I hope I have enough appointments to get all my requirements done. He was my 3rd extra 1B patient.

Today my pt cancelled and I was unable to find another pt. Hopefuly I can find my last class two pt I need.

Clini April 2

I did finish my patient but I got him out 10 minutes after check out time. I talked to Angie about organization and she gave me some good advise. She told me to set a time frame for each step of the appointment, which I have been doing, but I'm alittle slow going from step to step. Is there any strategies other people use to stay on time?
